Open-faced S’mores Bars

Happy National S’mores Day! If you’re not by a campfire, you can still celebrate this delicious holiday – just give this recipe a try.

Open-faced S’mores Bars

Ingredients:
18 Best Choice graham crackers
¼ cup Best Choice cane sugar
1 stick (8 tbsp) Best Choice unsalted butter
1 cup Best Choice Milk Chocolate Chips
1 cup Best Choice Mini Marshmallows

Directions:
Preheat oven 400 degrees. Lightly grease your baking pan. 9×13 pans makes for a thin crust, while 8×8 makes for a thicker crust –it’s really your preference. Line the pan with parchment paper.

Crush all graham crackers by hand or in a food processor until they are finely crushed. Put graham cracker crumbs and sugar in a medium bowl and mix. Melt butter and pour on top of graham mixture and stirring everything together.

Place mixture into the bottom of prepared pan and press into an even layer for the crust of the bars. Bake 5-8 minutes. Then remove pan and let crust cool for five more minutes.

Sprinkle crust with an even layer of chocolate chips followed by marshmallows. Be sure to leave some space around the edges of the crust, as marshmallows will expand when baking. Bake for 8-10 more minutes or until the tops of the marshmallows are golden brown.

Enjoy warm or cool!
