June is National Dairy Month (and June 4 is National Cheese Day!) – the perfect time to celebrate the delicious dairy foods that fuel our bodies and minds. Here’s the tasty truth on cheese: a 1-ounce serving is a delicious source of protein and calcium. That’s something for everyone to smile about!
According to the Midwest Dairy Association, nutrients from cheese benefit our entire bodies, from dental and bone health, to muscle and heart health. Cheese contains calcium and protein, but also phosphorous, potassium, Vitamins A & B12, riboflavin and magnesium.
