In just two years, Davidson Elementary has ignited its student body and community to save labels. The small elementary school in rural Mississippi has fewer than 50 students but enlisted the help of parents and even grandparents to collect labels.
Davidson Elementary’s strategy for collection is simple. Teachers and students collect labels in a sandwich bag throughout the year. Then those labels are combined until the school reaches 1000 labels. The funds directly benefit the students, so it’s no surprise the students take pride in collecting labels.
