Greek Donuts

Ingredients

1 ¾  Best Choice All-Purpose Flour 

1 cup of Best Choice Milk ( You may need an extra 2-3 tbsp)

1 packet of Best Choice Dry Yeast (1.5 tsp)

Best Choice Canola/Vegetable Oil for frying

Best Choice Honey

Toppings: Nuts, Cinnamon, Chocolate/Sprinkles

Add yeast to warm milk. Give the mixture a quick mix. Add the yeast/milk to the flour. Start mixing with a fork and move to a spatula. Do not over mix. Cover the bowl and let rise for 2 hours. 

Prepare your piping bag with Best Choice oil (we recommend Coconut OIl) as you wait for your dough to rise.  Once the donut mix has doubled in size, add to your piping bag. 

Prepare your hot oil for frying.

Pipe out the donut mixture into the hot oil, using scissors cutting each new donut as it drops into the hot oil.  Fry until golden.

Serve hot with honey. Optional toppings include chocolate, nuts or cinnamon.
