Whether you are hosting a holiday gathering or having a group of friends over, it’s nice to feel prepared. Hosting a crowd should be rewarding and fun. By keeping a few simple tips in mind, it can be easy to approach planning a group meal. First, plan to cook a recipe you have made before. That way you know how long it will take and how much preparation is needed. It’s also helpful if you can make aspects of the recipe in advance.

Second, make a meal that is adaptable. Food allergies and intolerances have become more common. Serving meals buffet style or keeping meats separate can be accommodating for different preferences. A great example of an adaptable meal is a taco bar.

Lastly, pick a menu that fits your audience. Trust your instincts on what will work best for your group. Consider the ages and level of formality desired by the guests. It’s always appropriate to ask others to bring items to help with the meal. This can keep your group event enjoyable and stress free for everyone involved.
