Candied Sweet Potatoes

Ingredients

4 medium size sweet potatoes
1/2 cup butter
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon Clearly by Best Choice Cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon Clearly by Best Choice Nutmeg
1/2 cup Clearly by Best Choice Turbinado Sugar
1/4 cup Clearly by Best Choice Brown Sugar
1 Tablespoon Clearly by Best Choice Vanilla

Each bit of this delicious dish is a perfect balance of sweetness from the Clearly by Best Choice Turbinado Sugar and spice from Clearly by Best Choice Cinnamon and Nutmeg. Directions

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Spray a 9×13 baking dish with Clearly by Best Choice cooking spray, then set it aside.

Clean the sweet potatoes thoroughly and remove any dark spots from the skin.

Cut the sweet potatoes into 1/2-inch slices.

Then place the slices on the greased baking dish.

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

Add the salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, turbinado sugar, brown sugar and vanilla, stirring to incorporate ingredients and melt the sugars.

Pour the butter mixture over sliced sweet potatoes. Spread to coat the potato slices as evenly as possible.

Cover baking dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.

Remove pan from oven and baste potatoes by spooning butter mixture over the top.

Place foil back on and continue baking for 15 to 20 minutes or until potatoes are fork tender.

Remove pan from oven and let cool for 10 minutes.
