Fill breakfast food can be sweet too! Our resident dietitian, Rebecca, has created a delicious recipe for Milled Flaxseed Pancakes. They will keep you full all morning long while satisfying your tastebuds. Gather all the ingredients you need at your local grocery store.
Directions
Place the flour, quick oats, milled flaxseeds, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a mixing bowl.
Toss the dry ingredients with a fork, then set aside.
Whisk together the milk, egg, vanilla, and oil.
Make a small well in the middle of the dry ingredients bowl, then pour in the wet ingredients.
Gently stir all ingredients together until combined.
Add the butter or oil to a griddle over medium heat.
Drop 1/4 cup of the batter onto the hot griddle for each pancake.
Cook until the pancakes bubble on top and you see light brown on the edges. About 2 minutes per side.
Serve with syrup and butter if desired.
