The following ingredients are the estimated supplies for a week’s worth of breakfast parfaits. Some of the ingredients are standard kitchen staples that you may already have stocked in your kitchen. If you have these supplies on hand, you can put together a healthy, easy to prepare, breakfast parfait.
1 container Best Choice Greek Yogurt
1 bag Clearly by Best Choice Granola
Prepared Overnight Oats (see step one recipe below)
A jar of Clearly by Best Choice Peanut Nut Butter
Seasonal Fruit
Step One: Prepare Overnight Oats
1 cup Clearly by Best Choice Old Fashioned Oats
1 1/2 cup milk (plant-based milk or cow’s milk)
2 Tablespoons Clearly by Best Choice Chia Seeds
1 Tablespoon Clearly by Best Choice Honey
Pour oats into an airtight container. Add honey and chia seeds then pour milk over the top and mix well. Seal container and place in the refrigerator overnight.
Step Two: Build a Single Serving Parfait Cup
1/4 cup Best Choice Greek Yogurt
1/4 cup Clearly by Best Choice Granola
1/4 cup overnight oats mix (see recipe above)
1 teaspoon Clearly by Best Choice Nut Butter
1/4 cup seasonal fruit
In a cup or bowl assemble ingredients in order. Place yogurt on the bottom, add granola, scoop in overnight oats, top with a little nut butter and chopped seasonal fruit. Consider using chopped apples in the fall, banana slices in the winter, strawberries in the spring, and blueberries in the summertime.
