Cornbread Chili Layered Dish

Ingredients

2 boxes Best Choice Cornbread Stuffing Mix

1 can chopped Best Choice Green Chiles, undrained

1/8 tsp Best Choice Ground Cumin

1/8 tsp Best Choice Oregano

Pinch Best Choice Rubbed Sage

1 cup Best Choice Mayonnaise

1 cup Best Choice Sour Cream

1 pkg Best Choice Ranch Dressing Mix

2 cans Best Choice Pinto Beans, rinsed and drained

2 cans Best Choice Whole Kernel Corn, drained

3 medium tomatoes, chopped

1 cup chopped green pepper

1 cup chopped green onions

10 Best Choice Bacon Strips, cooked and crumbled

2 cups Best Choice Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese

Chili and football, they go hand-in-hand! Get ready for your watch party with our fun take on chili and cornbread. Our Cornbread Chili Layered Dish will be the talk of your gathering. Combining traditional chili ingredients with cornbread, bacon, and a creamy topping, all your guests will be asking for seconds. Pick up all the ingredients you need at your local grocery store.

DIRECTIONS

Prepare the cornbread according to the package directions and allow it to cool completely.

In a small mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, and Ranch Dressing mix.

Once thoroughly combined, stir in the chiles, cumin, oregano, and sage and set aside for later.

Once the cornbread has cooled, crumble about half of it into a 9 x 13 pan.

Using half of the mayonnaise mixture, beans, corn, tomatoes, green peppers, onions, bacon, and cheese, top the first half of the cornbread.

Crumble the second half of the cornbread and repeat these layers for a second time.

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

*This dish can be served cold or warmed up.
