Clearwater Church of Christ

Clearwater, Kansas is home to the wonderful Clearwater Church of Christ. The Church members have been working together for many years to provide for anyone needing help in their community. From providing quilts to helping pay for groceries and utilities, they work throughout the year to raise funds, create solutions, and help anyone in need in the Clearwater community.

The Clearwater Church of Christ has participated in the Save-A-Label™ program for 21 years. During that time, the Church members gather once a week to create their quilts or to cut out labels from the Best Choice® packages given to them. The group receives Best Choice® labels from their congregation, along with their family and friends in the community. Even the local grocery store, Mize’s Food Store, helps save labels for the Church members to collect.

“The local grocery store tells us we are by far the best at utilizing this program in our community,” said Ellen Schwindaman, a Clearwater Church of Christ member. “All funds we receive from the Save-A-Label™ program go towards helping with whatever is needed by those in need in the Clearwater Community.” The group also wanted to dedicate their featured organization application to Laura Walker. Laura coordinated the group since their beginning and continued to do so until she passed away this year at 99.
