St. George Student Council

For many years, the St. George Student Council has been a shining example of leadership and community involvement in Hermann, Missouri. Nestled within the walls of St. George School, a vibrant Catholic institution serving 176 students from preschool through eighth grade, the Student Council is committed to making a positive impact both within the school and in the wider community.

Guided by Amy Schebaum, the school’s principal and student council advisor, the St. George Student Council is made up of 26 dedicated middle school members. These students play a key role in organizing activities that enrich the school experience for their peers, faculty, and staff. Whether it’s planning school events, leading service projects, or fostering school spirit, the Student Council members are always looking for new ways to bring the school together and give back to their community.

The Student Council also partners with parish members to support their initiatives. St. George School has been an active participant in the Save-A-Label program for many years, with parents, students, and parish members working together to collect Best Choice Family of Brands product labels. Students bring the labels to school each week, while parish members place them in collection baskets during weekend masses. These efforts help fund Student Council activities, as well as support the school’s programs and resources.

Ms. Schebaum shares, “St. George is a Catholic School in Hermann, MO. We have 176 students from grades Preschool-8th Grade. Our Student Council is comprised of 26 middle school members who provide opportunities for our students, faculty, and staff, as well as find ways to give back to the community.”

By participating in the Save-A-Label program, St. George School has been able to provide enriching opportunities for their students while fostering a strong sense of community. The funds raised go directly toward supporting the activities and programs that benefit the entire school, helping to build a positive and engaging environment for everyone.
