A tried-and-true comfort classic! This hearty meatloaf is packed with savory goodness and topped with a tangy glaze made from rich, organic ketchup. It’s the kind of meal that brings everyone to the table—and keeps them coming back for seconds.
Directions
Line a rimmed baking pan with foil and spray with Clearly by Best Choice Cooking Spray & set aside.
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
In a sauté pan, cook the onions and olive oil over medium heat until tender, about ten minutes.
Remove from the pan from the heat and let it cool.
Place the lean ground beef and spices in a mixing bowl and mix until just combined.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and breadcrumbs.
Let the mixture sit for 10 minutes.
Add the breadcrumb mixture and the onions into the seasoned ground beef.
Stir until combined.
Then form a loaf with the beef mixture, about 8 inches long by 4 inches wide, on the baking sheet.
Bake for about 35 minutes.
While the meatloaf cooks prepare the sauce for topping.
Whisk together the chili sauce, ketchup, and brown sugar.
Remove the meatloaf from the oven and pour the sauce over the top.
Return the meatloaf to the over and cook for an additional 15 to 20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
Let the meatloaf cool for 10 minutes before cutting and serving.
