Break out the grill and slice up the avocados, it’s time to make a Grilled Mahi Tacos! Combining deliciously grilled white fish with an avocado lime slaw, this summertime recipe will surely have your mouth watering before it’s even off the grill.
DIRECTIONS
Prepare the marinade for the fish. In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the oil, lime juice, garlic, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Add the fish to the bowl and gently toss to combine. Allow the fish to marinate for 20 to 30 minutes.
While the fish is marinating, prepare the slaw. In a small blender, add the mayonnaise, Greek yogurt, avocado, cilantro, garlic powder, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Blend until the ingredients are smooth.
Place the slaw mix in a salad bowl and add the avocado mixture. Stir until the slaw mix is fully coated, and then set aside.
Heat your grill to high heat. If cooking on an outdoor grill, it’s best to place the fish in a grill basket. If cooking indoors, use a grill pan or a cast iron skillet.
Place the fish on the grill and cook for about 3 to 4 minutes on each side. Cooking until the fish is opaque and just cooked through.
Heat the tortillas directly on the grill rack or wrap them in aluminum foil and heat in the oven.
Place the cooked fish in a warm tortilla and top with the slaw.
If desired, you can add additional toppings like salsa, sour cream, avocado slices, radishes, and/or hot sauce.
